Happy Birthday, Sara! And thanks for welcoming us into your summer gaol. You’re making it feel nice and homey. I think I’ll skip the duck walk, though.

I think it’s a fabulous idea to record the regular moments. There’s jewels hidden in them. I’m spooked by the reference to The Help. What are the chances??

Sara, I look forward to more posts from summer gaol. I loved the laugh out loud moments and the visuals. I can see your father leaning in, fighting the sound waves, hand stretched toward the volume control.…

I also think the bricked in doorway actually being a doorway could work in somebody’s portal story, just maybe not opening into a bathroom.

Anyway, you inspired me this morning and I’m gonna go do my morning pages, which I hope someday will lead to me actually doing some more writing on my story!

I don’t know what a duck walk is. It sounds painful from your description. And Happy Birthday!!! 🎂 I have decided to be excited about all of my birthdays forever. Since many of the other adults try to hide their age it is now counter cultural to tell everyone. I am 40 2/3! (There is nothing like adding factions to your age to feel young again.)
